Crufts 2026 for Brooke and Woody
Brooke and Woody's at Crufts - 2026

So the nerves, excitement and energy was high from the moment we parked up!!
How proud did they both look walking into the NEC that Thursday morning, it bought a tear to my eye, feeling so proud of how far they had come in such a short amount of timing competing, also not knowing how Woody would cope with it - firstly the scale of the show and then being indoors to compete on the green carpet & ALL those dogs, but like a champ he took it all in his stride and seemed to lap up all the attention.
It was all go from the minute we walked in as they were the first competition in (Jumping Cup) and 6th to run, so no time to wait and check it all out or watch a few it was go go go!! I'm pretty sure I was more nervous than Brooke.... they went out and had a fab time, unfortunately eliminated as Woody felt there should've been another tunnel run in the course, but enjoyed it all the same. Had a good time after that walking around the show and talking to some of the stands and the discover dog area, always a favourite!!
Then back to the motorhome to prepare for there next run on the Saturday which was the Agility Dog of the Year, now knowing more of where we had to go and what we had to do, it took the nerves down a bit and we knew we had time to check out a few dogs run before it was their turn. With friends and family coming up to watch them, made it feel even more special!!
In the ring they go, again my nerves were high and Brooke seemed as cool as a cucumber! It was a nice course and Brooke had it in her head, and off they go and blimey did they do us proud by coming in at 3rd place!!
What an acheivement for their first time running at Crufts, we were all blown away and it was something very special to watch.
Now its back to training and working towards qualifiers for Crufts 2027. Watch this space guys!
